Our journey with PostureTrack began with a personal experience that many can relate to. I was always active—hitting the gym regularly, going for walks, running, and hiking. I believed that my consistent physical activity and the way I sat, with what I thought was a straight back, were enough to maintain good posture and overall health.
However, I started experiencing severe back pain, which became so intense that it even affected my ability to fall asleep. After a typical day, my shoulders felt incredibly tense, as if they were under immense pressure, often leading to headaches and the kind of exhaustion you’d expect after working 20 hours straight. Alongside these issues, I also began to suffer from foot pain, particularly after being active.
Concerned, I sought medical advice. Visits to neurologists, an MRI of my back, and sessions with a physiotherapist revealed a stark reality: my body was riddled with imbalances, a misaligned spine, and tension throughout my shoulder area, all exacerbated by the standard workday spent sitting at a computer. This realization led me to understand the importance of changing my sitting habits, strengthening my body, and incorporating regular exercises to prevent these negative outcomes. My goal became clear: to feel better, eliminate the pain, and regain control over my health.
While its true that the full extent of who will benefit from this platform may yet be unknown. PostureTrack aims to address these often overlooked problems by providing a comprehensive tool for monitoring and getting better.
Whats next?
We are committed to further developing this project with the aim of making a meaningful difference in peoples lives. Our next steps are focused on helping individuals in various ways.
- Prepare their workspace according to recommended ergonomic guidelines to ensure a healthy and productive environment.
- Acquire essential sitting habits that promote proper posture and long-term well-being.
- Decrease fatigue and enhance overall well-being by encouraging correct sitting practices, which have proven benefits.
In order to achieve this we planning to lunch additional functions to compare progress by providing images (body analyse) and special wizzard to prepare work place for correct heights and position.
